2019 Seeking Him Wall Calendar
This 13-month wall calendar features quotes from the book, Seeking Him, co-authored by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
You who seek God, let your hearts revive. Psalm 69:32
We are all seekers. The question is, who or what are we seeking? The truth is, we seek after the things that matter most to us. So, what matters more to you than anything and everything else? Your answer might differ from day to day, or within a few hours in the course of a day. But it’s a question I find myself asking myself more and more.
There was no question what mattered most to King David:
“With my whole heart I seek you,” he prayed with eyes lifted up to the Lord (Psalm 119:10).
“Set your mind and heart to seek the LORD your God,” he urged his son, Solomon (1 Chron. 22:19).
But what does it mean to seek the Lord?
Seeking the Lord means we prize Him so much that we proactively set out to know Him and to walk with Him. It means we incline our hearts toward Him and inquire of Him. It means we set our hearts and our hope on that which is eternal rather than that which is temporal.
Regardless of the details or circumstances of our lives, I’m convinced that the greatest need each of us has is to seek the Lord. To seek His direction, His wisdom, His understanding, His perspective. To seek Him. This is also our greatest need as the people of God living in tumultuous days. To seek Him with all our hearts.
The quotes from this calendar are taken from my book Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival, a book I co-authored with Tim Grissom. As you seek the Lord each day throughout 2019, I pray He will make Himself known to you in fresh ways, that He will revive your heart, and that He will be magnified in our world through His people.
